Good evening and happy Wednesday! I am so excited to share our engagement photos today! I seriously could not be happier with the entire experience. Honestly, Diego and I expected it to be awkward, posing in front of the camera, but we had an AMAZING photographer who eased our nerves very early on. By the end, we felt like naturals… just kidding … but we did feel very comfortable 🙂
So we were pretty spontaneous with our engagement session. We recently moved to Kingsville, TX for Diegos Jet training, and after being here for only a few weeks, time caught up with us and we realized two things.
- Labor Day weekend was approaching and we had no plans and
- My birthday was on Labor Day weekend…and we had no plans
Diego was so sweet and planned a trip to Austin, TX which was very cool and quirky and we will definitely be back… but that is for another time. While we were talking about Austin, the idea of doing our engagement photos came up. I essentially scoured Instagram hashtags and google and finally found Brooke. She was extremely helpful, sending sample photos to get an idea of locations, since we have never been to central Texas!
We landed on the adorable town of San Marcos, TX. We decided to do two different areas, first was downtown, and second was a park called Purgatory Creek. I absolutely loved Purgatory creek and I am so happy we chose this as our second location, once we were much more comfortable. Also, I mean… look at the sunset!
Also, as you will notice, we brought our dogs along for the ride. Honestly, because this was so spontaneous, and we were bringing our pups up to Austin with us, it just sort of happened that they were there… but I am so glad they were! They are honestly part of us!
